About Us

We offer free technical advice to our customers to ensure that our installations meet their requirements and all relevant planning and building control regulations.

We provide very competitive free written quotations, not estimates, to ensure that all costs are agreed prior to the commencement of works. After your initial enquiry, we will arrange for one of our surveyors to visit the site where the work is to be carried out. After a brief survey and discussion regarding the job, the surveyor will, back at the office, draw the area to scale and calculate the size of the site. A quotation will be posted or emailed to you together with a drawing if appropriate. Once an order is confirmed a contract is drawn up which both parties sign as approved. This is then passed to our Operations Director who will agree an installation date and scheduling of the work. (Any alteration to approved work, we will first get written authorization before additional/changes are action to project)

We operate a strict diary system for installations and once a date is agreed, normally only bad weather would cause a delay. Once we start an installation we guarantee to stay with it through to completion unless the nature of the job means it has to be completed in stages.

We operate throughout most of M25 orbital and over the years we have worked not only on domestic drives and patios but also for schools, universities, national house builders, local authorities and charities.

We have Highways and Street Works Accreditation to carry out work on public highways, pavements and dropped kerbs.

We offer three main services in relation to Tarmacadam:

  • New work - Where we excavate the ground, install a weed membrane, compact a layer of Type 1 MOT, lay a sub-base of Tarmacadam and then a final wearing course of Tarmacadam. Depth of excavation and thicknesses / specification of the stone and Tarmacadam is determined by the type of traffic the new surface will be subjected to. Any kerbs, edging or drainage are all dealt with prior to laying the Tarmacadam.
  • Prepared Ground - Often we work for building contractors who prefer to concrete kerbs into place, install drainage and compact the stone themselves. We would then lay the sub-base and wearing layer of Tarmacadam to finish the project.
  • Re-surfacing - For damaged areas of existing Tarmacadam and concrete, excavation is not always necessary. In this case the pot holes would be cut out and the surface industrially cleaned. All loose debris would be removed including weeds and moss etc., a bitumen based spray tack adhesive is applied and then the final wearing layer of Tarmacadam laid. Again the specification and thickness is determined by the type of traffic the new surface will be subjected to.

Although most of our customers choose black Tarmacadam, we also offer it in red or green and with edging options from a simple concrete edging, kerbs or decorative Block Paving and cobbles or setts.
